dc3 Art Projects is proud to feature Mitch Mitchell at booth 1216 at Art Toronto in the Metro Toronto Convention Centre, October 24 – 28, 2013.

Metropolis Chronicles is a series of photographs of places that have never existed. Mitchell plays with dozens of archived aerial images to create a new history and a new place through painstaking editing, subtractions and additions. The resulting images are fictional constructs seemingly invaded by elements that could be tiny molecules, surveillance balloons, alien invaders or military drones.

We will also be showing Distance Arc, a conceptual installation commenting on the nature of work, the history of American industry and labour, and print making technologies new and old.
