dc3 Art Projects is pleased to present a print and sculptural installation by Illinois-based Mitch Mitchell who has recently returned to the midwest after years in Alberta, Nova Scotia and recently showing around Quebec. Berth is an exhibition using handprinted forms, obsessively created and assembled, to speak about a culture of consumption and dispersement on a global and immense scale. Shown only in Eastern Canada this is Mitchell’s return west and a debut of his newest work.
Mitch Mitchell is an artist exploring the boundaries of traditional printmaking processes in a wide ranging practice. He has had recent solo exhibitions in New Brunswick, Quebec, Yukon Territories and has upcoming solo shows at the Art Gallery of Nova Scotia, Southern Alberta Art Gallery, and dc3 Art Projects. He has widely shown in group exhibitions including upcoming or recent exhibition in Chongging, China; Istanbul, Turkey; Halifax, Nova Scotia; Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island; Quebec City, Quebec; Boston, Massachusetts and Vancouver, British Columbia.
