dc3 Art Projects is very pleased to present our first all painting exhibition; Simply Paint is a focus on pigment and surface without regard to genre or generation. Simply Paint will run November 16 - January 12 alongside a solo presentation of painting by Joseba Eskubi. From global to local, we are honoured to present Simply Paint, a survey of some of Edmonton’s finest painters who are increasingly recognized on the national stage for their strong work in many genres. Three young painters have been short-listed for the RBC Painting competition in recent years, more experienced painters have had successful national and international exhibitions, experienced voices are exploring dramatic shifts in their practice, and painters bring their influence to the thriving Edmonton community through their teaching and production. One of the most “traditional” of media for artistic expression, painting is continuously expanding and changing. We are excited to exhibit local artists working to represent a world in flux through the use of pigment on surface. Painting that is far from simple.
